劉一鵬 | Liu Yipeng
Independent contemporary ink artist, creating contemplative landscapes between nature and inner perception.
Born in 1989, Liu Yipeng currently lives and works in Shaanxi, China. His ink-based practice constructs a landscape that exists between physical scenery and inner imagination, shaped by a strong sense of spatial rhythm and restrained color relationships. In his work, mountains are reduced to dense, silent silhouettes, while expanses of water unfold as near-monochrome fields, allowing the composition to achieve a quiet yet powerful unity through simplification. The recurring animal figures and symbolic elements do not function as narrative subjects, but rather as points of scale and emotional reference, guiding the viewer into a slow, contemplative experience between vastness and solitude. Through a controlled use of blank space, color planes, and measured brushwork, Liu transforms traditional ink language into a contemporary visual sensibility, where landscape becomes not merely something to be seen, but a space to inhabit and reflect within.
